The Duc Pond

I just played Zelda for 5 hours. Note to self, that puts me about 9 hours into the game. God this game is amazing. I can’t get over how gorgeous this game is. Like many, I was quite taken aback when the cel-shaded Link was first unveiled, but I can’t imagine it any other way now. The art in the game is beautiful. The animation is the silkiest and smoothest I’ve seen in a game. Most of the music is just fantastic. The music in the foresty dungeons I was just in had a great spooky quality to it. The puzzles in this game are great too. Kinda easy, but quite imaginative. I’m just stunned at how good this game has turned out.

On to less pleasant matters, people are continuing to write letters to The Press expressing their disdain for those opposed to the war or the president. It’s unbelievable and it’s frightening. I can’t quite imagine how insane you’d have to be to seriously consider opponents of war as traitors. The people who say these things are nothing short of fascists in my opinion. Those who would restrict others’ right to speak are less American than anyone. What’s worse is that there are so many of them and their behavior is tolerated. I’ll send the paper a letter tomorrow rebutting those asses. I’ve been meaning to get to that for a while now.
