The New Wisdom

Weekend

Yesterday was pretty crazy. My sister decided to take her placement tests on Saturday since I was going up anyway and the next test date would’ve been the day after her prom. So I dropped her off in front of Scott Hall at 9, drove around to run some errands, then met up with her again for lunch. Then left her to continue her tests and meet up with Melissa (and pick up Kristen) to see Shoestring do their plays. They were very cool, by the way. No props or sets. They found clever ways to using themselves as scenery and props. It was neat. After THAT we picked up my sister again, dropped off Kristen back at the apartment, then went to David’s Bridal and Menlo Park Mall for hours of dress shopping. My sister found nothing. Then we chilled at the apartment for a few hours, went to the Olive Garden with Matt for dinner, and finally went back home. Poor Quynh had to be up at Rutgers for 15 hours. It was good for me, though. It was good to keep busy and not think about losing my job, even though I still did plenty of that.

I kept busy today, too. Cleaned my car, replaced the spark plugs, helped my dad take down a tree, and bought some weed & feed at Lowe’s. Still gotta work on Catherine’s program. I feel pretty good about working on my car today. I’ll be damned if I ever pay to have someone replace my spark plugs again! I just needed to know that you need pliers (or very strong hands) to pull those damn square boots up. No twisting necessary! And Brian wanted to watch a movie today, but I didn’t want to spend more money this weekend. So I proposed watching Spirited Away, but it’s 8:21 now and my sister’s watching the special features. I don’t want to interrupt, and it’s getting late, so I’ll just continue doing work here.
