Post-birthday
Published by Duc May 19th, 2003 in Friends(Note: It’s Sunday as far as I’m concerned)
I didn’t get to see the air show. Nobody wanted to come (though I should’ve called Matt, whose brother is in it). Oh well. There should be another Millville air show next year, surely with better weather. Plus, I bet Steve Chappell will have pictures. I did manage to finish some shopping for 5 more boxes of brownie mix (for the office picnic!) and some graduation gifts. I drove a total of 80 miles to get one of them, so I hope it’s liked. Pete Dolcy had some leftover beer from yesterday’s graduation party, so Ben called me and I decided to drop by. Played a few rounds of pool, had a beer, caught up with people. It wasn’t bad. A bunch of them have plans to visit California, New Orleans, and Europe. They all sound awesome, but I’m not tight with all of ‘em so I’m not sure how I’d feel about going. Finally, Jon called to wish me a happy birthday. Catherine had called earlier and we talked for a while so that was good. Tomorrow will be more birthday action. As far as birthdays go this one was pretty lame, especially the part where I bought gifts for other people, but I can’t complain. My life is a good one.
Tomorrow is also our all-hands meeting. I swear, if this is another “we don’t know anything, but we wanted to hold a meeting” meeting, I’ll be enraged. Somebody will pay. But most likely, they’ll tell us what we already know: we’re funded ’till the end of the month and after that at least 60 of us will be gone. Woo!
