The Duc Pond

The wedding reception was cool. I liked almost everything in the excellent 12 course meal, which included stir-fry lobster, shrimp ball on crab claw, sliced steak with satay sauce, and other stuff. Mostly seafood. Lots of Vietnamese/white person couples, and not just white guys either. You don’t see a lot of Asian guys with white girls, but there were a couple here. One young kid kept trying to pull his pants down. He succeeded once, avoiding his father’s (or some relative/friend) efforts to stop him.

Today I went to Circuit City and bought a laptop just in case I don’t find a better deal. I have 2 weeks to return it. It’s a Compaq 2135US (1.8 Ghz Celeron, 256 MB of RAM, 30 GB HD, CDRW/DVD combo drive) and after tax and rebate it comes to $800. I have little doubt that I can find a better deal, so there’s a 99% chance this laptop’s going back. I’m so tempted to bust it open and try it, though.
