The Duc Pond

Is it sad that I curl up with my laptop at night instead of the usual book? It’s really useful, though. I can get these blog entries done, get work done, and watch DVDs/DiVX files. And soon when my wireless network is up I’ll be able to surf the web too! w00t! (Note that by the time I actually got this up and posted, my wireless network was actually up.)

So let’s see… Saturday consisted of a lot of lounging around which is definitely a good thing. I can’t really remember what I did that day, but I suspect it was a whole lotta nothin’.

Sunday I went to a quilt thing with Melissa, whose mom was part of the guild giving a presentation. There we saw Jan, who is apparently engaged and just bought a house. Now that’s some good life progress. Plus she got laser eye surgery! The success of her operation makes me feel a little easier about some day getting the same thing done. Anyway, after the quilt stuff we went to Sea Isle City for some boardwalking. The boardwalk isn’t a boardwalk at all, though. It’s not made of fricken’ boards! It was a nice day.
