As far as celebrating Independence Day in the traditional ways I didn’t do a very good job, but by taking the opportunity to relax I made excellent use of that time. Basically I did nothing the entire day but watch MacGyver and Felicity episodes. It was just what I needed. Having 3 days off instead of the normal 2 did a lot to ease the suffering from work.

Saturday was the Leichtnam BBQ which was cool. Brian said it was his mom that was throwing the party, but the only people who came were friends of Cat, Brian and Elizabeth. Weird. It was good to hang out, though. And to continue to not know how to swim.

And as for today, I’ve done nothing but run a few errands, get some shorts that were on sale at Gap (it’s cheap!), and get some work done on Brian’s film web site. My wrists still hurt, though. I had tried to restrict my computer usage during the three-day weekend, and I did a good job, but I don’t think I rested enough. Looks like I’ll have to wait a week for my 4-day weekend.
