Canon S400, Casio Exilim EX-Z3, and Pentax Optio S

I think I’ve narrowed down my digital camera choices to the Canon PowerShot S400 and the Casio Exilim EX-Z3. My brother recommended the M2, which plays MP3s, but I don’t think I care too much about music capabilities. I do want optical zoom and I do want smallness, though. Another option of course is the Pentax Optio S, which fits in an Altoids tin! That would be a cheap, yet really cool case. The Casio Z3 uses Pentax’s lens. They’re all decently reviewed. I just don’t know if I want to spend more money on the Canon, or if the Canon’s extra 5 mm depth and 76 g (which is 52% heavier than the Casio!) will discourage me from bringing the camera with me. I want something I can take EVERYWHERE.
