OK, after that debacle with Staples, I found posts at FatWallet about combining 10% and 20% off coupons at Dell Small Business. I used those coupons to get the S400 for about $370. Actually I had to order twice because the first time I forgot to go through FatWallet’s cashback program! That’s roughly another $10. I tried cancelling the first order but it was shipped super fast. I’ll have to actually return it now.

This morning I find that Dell slashed the price to $450! So doing the coupon thing would get me to $343. But to do this I would have to return TWO cameras instead of just the one and buy new coupons (the ones I used earlier were free, but now nobody else is giving them away). It seems easy enough, but I know from doing this many times that it’ll take up at least a few hours. Might not be worth the $27, but if I’m bored I’ll certainly go for it.

So yeah, I’ve ordered this camera 5 times. Three times at Dell, once at ElectricSam, and once at Staples. Now possibly a SIXTH time, coming to 3 cancelled orders and 2 returns. Worth it, though. I went from $425 to $370 ($360 if you include FatWallet’s cash back).
