The Duc Pond

So Friday night I went up to Rutgers to see Melissa. Didn’t do much really. Next morning we had brunch at IHOP. Here’s a picture of Melissa being none too pleased that I’m taking a picture while we’re eating:

Got home Saturday, didn’t do much that evening, and then at around 11:00 PM I decided to mess around with Windows Movie Maker, which then resulted me in staying up really late to finish the Hardy Party video seen below. Seeing people at the office appreciate my work made it all worth it.

Then on Sunday my mom and I went to Octoberfest at Smithville. We didn’t get there until less than an hour before it ended, but still managed to grab some food. Buffalo shrimp are damned good, but the ones at the seafood place in Smithville are ridiculously priced. Nearly $8 after tax for 5. FIVE! At least I got to take some pictures with my new S400:

Check out this captainy-looking guy on the Segway. He didn’t do much demonstrating, but he did note that one of the keys allowed the device to go up to 40 mph. Seeing the thing steady itself in real life is pretty damn cool.

Lots of people were enjoying the weather in rented paddleboats. They were joined by craploads of ducks and geese. The ones in this picture are but a fraction of the waterfowl present that day. Crazy!

Just a random duck I happened to take a picture of. I took this while it was swimming around and I didn’t crop the image at all. I thought that was pretty good for someone who sucks at picture-taking as much as I do.
