The Duc Pond

I had sushi for the first time yesterday. Real sushi, anyway. I had tried dining hall sushi at Rutgers my senior year, but that was pretty bad. All I know of sushi are the two kinds I’ve seen: One is rolled up into cylinders with seaweed and other kind is just a slab of fish on a packed bed of rice.

I had the latter kind, one salmon and one tuna. You can see a picture of what it looks like right here. I knew what to expect, but it was still pretty intimidating to see a chunk of raw fish just sitting there on the plate. It was really squishy. I can’t say I liked it, but I didn’t dislike it either. I kinda want to try more of it. More wasabi this time, though.
