The Duc Pond

I had a nice Fourth of July. Amy and I saw the fireworks show at Penn’s Landing last Friday. Then on Saturday we went to a party at her friend’s house, where they also launched fireworks. Now my experience with backyard fireworks has been heretofore very unimpressive (limited to Roman candles and the like), but this show was pretty awesome. The explosions were nearly the quality of a professional fireworks show. But it was better since we were really close. Someone said they spent over $1,000 on the fireworks. It’s a lot of money, but it looked damn good.

The Fourth of July itself and the day after were spent relaxing mostly, which was good enough for me. We went swimming in the pool at Amy’s development and had some Vietnamese food later in the evening. No better way to spend a holiday than with my lady.
