The Weekend
Published by Duc October 12th, 2004 in UncategorizedI’d like to separate the events of this past weekend from the gigantic post below.
This weekend was pretty cool. Amy and I went to a Moroccan place with an Indian couple who lives in her development. They were very nice. Interesting to hear about the move from Indian to American culture, the pharmaceutical industry, and other stuff. The food was very good too. It was a 10 course meal (so there was plenty of variety to sample) and featured an ugly, old belly dancer. Don’t get me wrong, she was a good dancer… just not an attractive one. Amy and I treated the Indian couple to some bubble tea later. Good stuff!
Sunday was action packed. My uncle was visiting my parents’ house over the weekend, so my family came up to see my condo in the morning. They didn’t stay all that long, which was fine because Amy was having her brother Jesse’s birthday party at her house. We had to split up to go out and get the food and supplies we needed. It really wasn’t all that insane since the kids spent the vast majority of the time playing video games in another room, but with four kids all 11 or younger, you’re bound to have your work cut out for you.
After that, we raced down to Mays Landing to have dinner with my family at Red Lobster. I introduced Amy to my aunt and uncle, got to talk to him and the rest of my family, and had an overall good time.
