The New Wisdom

Ethical Voting

I hope Republicans are proud of the people they elected:

Jim Bunning, U.S. Senator from Kentucky, a 73 year old who was growing senile, needed a teleprompter during a debate, claimed his opponent resembled one of Saddam Hussein’s sons, and was so out of touch with the world that he had no idea what reporters were talking about when they asked about the reservists who refused to go on a supply run.

Jim DeMint, U.S. Senator from South Carolina, said that unwed mothers shouldn’t be allowed to be teachers.

Lisa Murkowski, U.S. Senator from Alaska, was appointed to the position by her father when he became governor. She was then elected to the Senate by Alaskans who think nepotism should be rewarded.

It boggles the mind, but it’s all true.
