Help me find mãng cầu AKA na AKA custard apple
Published by Duc April 1st, 2009 in TravelMy coworker reminded me about how delicious mãng cầu (also called custard apple) are. We ate many of these in Vietnam, and now I want more. Anyone know where I can find them in the U.S.? Mail/online order is fine.
I did a quick and dirty Google search for places in NYC and someone claims to have seen them (or ‘cherimoyas’ which seem to be kind of the same thing?) at a market in Colts Neck, NJ called Delicious Orchards.
I’ll stay on the lookout for them for you when I’m in Chinatown too.
If Quynh is correct, cherimoyas are all over the place in supermarkets in Seattle.
