My cousin and his wife are in Vietnam for a month doing work at a free medical clinic. They have an amazing, well-written blog detailing their travels. I’ll be checking it regularly.

This cat is going to die

We took in a cat with feline leukemia. Amber got a notice from Hugs for Puppies and dying cats need homes too. I’m not sure how long it’ll be around. Could be 6 months. Could be 2 years. For now, though, it’s ours!

So we got back from Montreal on Tuesday. In stark contrast to my last trip there, getting through the border was a piece of cake. Last time they had me talk to an immigration officer, then ransacked my car searching for stuff. They even took my subwoofer out and carried it into a building (presumably [...]

Washington, D.C.

My parents, Amy and I went to a wedding reception in the D.C. metropolitan area this past weekend. Amy got to see how the Vietnamese celebrate weddings and to meet my mom’s side of the family. On Sunday we went to the National Air & Space Museum Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. This is not the [...]

Alpharetta & Atlanta

I’m spending most of my time just chilling at my aunt’s house. Me and my aunt outside her house Yesterday we went to the Westin Hotel in Atlanta, supposedly the tallest hotel in the Western Hemisphere. At the top is a rotating restaurant and bar. It’s pretty cool. You get a good view from up [...]

Landed at around 11 PM last night. The landing was pretty quick and uneventful. I ran into my parents and my aunt pretty quickly afterwards. Then we waited for half an hour for the luggage to come and we went home! We didn’t do much of anything today. I slept a lot, ate, and then [...]

I forgot to mention that last Tuesday my aunt, my cousin, and a friend of my aunt’s and his son (all Canadians) came to our house. They had just come from visiting my aunt and uncle in Georgia and were going to stay for a day before moving on to friends in New York. Tuesday [...]

Barnegat Light

My brother’s home, so yesterday we went for a quick trip to Barnegat Light to walk around. They put huge rocks there that you can walk on, but with crevices bg enough to fall into. It’s pretty cool. Quite relaxing to just lie out there on a rock, watching the boats go by. Off to [...]

Uncles in town 2

We didn’t go to D.C. today. My uncle didn’t feel like spending that much time in the car. I’m kinda glad, because I didn’t want to spend that much time in the car either, especially if we weren’t going to be inside the museums and stuff. And last night I lost $11 at the Borgata. [...]

Uncles in town

2 uncles (from Canada and France) and a great uncle (from San Francisco) are here. Saturday we just chilled at home since they didn’t get here until the evening. On Sunday we visited the Statue of Liberty, drove around NYC for a while, and ate at the Wonton Garden. Driving in the city was obviously [...]
